2026 Collection Dates:

• The Eastern Regional Service Board (ERSB) provide waste collection services for the Southwest Avalon.

• Garbage collection occurs every Tuesday in Mount Carmel, Mitchell's Brook and St. Catherine's. Recyclables (in clear blue bags) are collected every  second Tuesday.

• Bulk Garbage Collection in Mount Carmel, Mitchell's Brook and St. Catherine's, including Route 91, is scheduled for June 1st, 2026.

• 2027 Bulk Garbage Collection will be by appointment only. More details to follow.

• Hazardous waste collection dates will be determined by Eastern Regional Service Board.

• St. Joseph's Waste Management Site hours  are Tuesdays and Thursdays,  12:00 noon to 4:00 pm and Saturdays 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
