Mount Carmel Community Garden
Membership in the Community Garden is open to residents of Mount Carmel-Mitchell's Brook-St. Catherine's. Garden beds can be leased for a season for a cost of $10 per bed. All funds collected assist with garden maintenance.

Salmonier 50+ Club
The Salmonier 50+ Club was established:
To provide education for retired persons, senior citizens and others interested in learning about the aging process and the well-being of seniors.
To reach out to seniors who are lonely, isolated or at risk.
To provide programs, activities, and opportunities for 50+ members to socialize with members of the community who share similar interests.
To promote healthy active lifestyles for seniors, thus sustaining mental and physical health.
To assist seniors, through promotion of educational experiences, in developing the knowledge and skills to assist them during the aging process.
To provide opportunities for seniors to utilize their volunteer and leadership skills for the benefit of the community.
The Salmonier 50+ Club sponsors many activities in the community, including information seminars, dances, barbecues, card games, darts and craft/social functions.
